I love a good book, in fact I love to read full stop, often having several books on the go at once! In the absence of books or magazines I would read a cereal packet.
So when I had
the opportunity to read and review Animal People by Charlotte Wood I was delighted. I
haven’t written a book review since school so it was a bit of a challenge.
Animal People follows a day in the life of
Stephen Connolly, and it is a bad day.
Stephen is not a happy man, bullied by his mother
and sister, unfulfilled by his dead end job and having decided his relationship
must end he embarks on a day that goes from bad to worse.
Overlaid with the relationships between people and
animals, and Stephen’s inability to relate, Animal People explores the best –
and worst- of our society.
A great read, thoroughly enjoyable. I haven’t
read Charlotte Wood before, but I will be in the future.

Sounds like a good read. I am definately an animal person, love small animals and help out at the local wildlife rescue centre when small animals come in and need looking after. Nicola

I sometimes cry when I see cute puppies or kitties. I'm definitely an animal person!
