What they say:
Our mission is simple: to make burgers good.We want our burgers to taste good and do you good. We challenge the idea of burgers being low in nutritional value and high in fat. That's why we make burgers the old-fashioned way, not the mass-produced, fast-food way. Ours are proper meals, not rubbery snacks that dissolve in seconds.
What we found:
Busy but organised. Only been open a week or so but everyone seemed to know what they were doing. Staff friendly and well presented.
Clean and tidy, attractive decor. Maybe a little noisy as the kitchen is open to the dining area, but a minor concern.
The boys ordered burgers & chips. Yummy bread rolls, super fresh salad and juicy beef patties were a definate winner. The chips were delicious, crispy outside, lovely and fluffy on the inside. No too oily. Sprinkled with a herb salt, very nice.
I had the chicken ceasar salad. Chunky croutons, crisp lettuce, warm tender chicken, beautifully fried egg and bacon topped with dressing and a sprinkling of parmesan. Delicious. I usually order this whenever we eat out and am often disapointed. Not this time, exactly as described and very tasty.
It is the little touches that set this establishment apart, the humerous signs, the fact that when restocking the softdrink the warm bottles are marked so you don’t accidentally grab one. The eco friendly cutlery provided with the meal was a nice addition.
A sense of humour... |
Menu sure to have something for everyone looking for relaxed, casual dining in pleasant surroundings.
A winner for us, we’ll be back.

I am not a keen grocery shopper; let’s face it, who is?

How it works for us...
As I run my own business as well as a busy family I don’t have a lot of time to devote to grocery shopping. I love the convenience of doing the shopping online at a time that suits me and having the groceries delivered to my kitchen. They even have mobile Eftpos if you aren’t keen on making online payments!
I love that I can be sitting at my desk working and the groceries turn up.
Things I have found...
The products available are pretty comprehensive, but you won’t find the full range of goods that you would in the shop.
They have specials, not necessarily everything in the catalogue, but most.
Some items may be a little more expensive than in the shops, but to me the convenience is worth it.
The same can be said for the delivery fee. The way I see it, the less time I have to spend at the shops, the more time I have for my clients.
Now, I’m not saying that they are perfect. After all, you are dealing with human beings. Once or twice things have been slightly wrong, for example I got a fruit box instead of the ordered vegetable box. One simple call, they credited the value of the veggie box to my account for next time and told me to enjoy the fruit box with their compliments. No question, no hassles.
Final thoughts...
I am a convert. I will still go to the shops for the inevitable bits and pieces, but I don’t mind so much when I only have to make the odd quick trip and can be in and out in a few minutes.
We all live such busy lives and for many of us grocery shopping is just one more stress in your day, but now it doesn’t have to be.

I would love to hear how you like to do the grocery shopping?
